Week 29: 12 - 18 July

This week, I asked the tarot to explore some of the biggest questions people are asking around the world.

The cards suggest that the conflict involving Iran is unlikely to end quickly. While there may be ongoing efforts behind the scenes to reduce tensions, the overall picture points to a prolonged period of strategic manoeuvring, uncertainty and nations holding firmly to their positions.

On the economic front, the reading highlights caution rather than collapse. People are likely to remain careful with their finances, focusing on work, saving and long-term security. The cards encourage practical thinking over fear, suggesting that patience and wise financial decisions will be important.

The reading on Artificial Intelligence was one of the most positive of the week. AI continues to expand rapidly and will become an even bigger part of everyday life. At the same time, the cards remind us not to become overly dependent on technology. AI is a powerful tool, but our own creativity, judgement and willingness to learn remain our greatest strengths.

When looking at the growing social divisions being experienced in many countries, the cards suggest that these differences are likely to remain a significant issue for some time. Confusion, differing viewpoints and competing narratives are expected to continue, while leaders and institutions play an increasingly important role in shaping events. Although Justice and Temperance offer hope that greater balance, fairness and reconciliation are possible, the cards indicate that this will be a gradual process rather than an immediate resolution. Throughout these collective readings, the High Priestess appeared repeatedly, encouraging us to trust our intuition, remain patient, and recognise that there may be more taking place beneath the surface than we can currently see.

Finally, I asked about this weekend's rugby Test between South Africa and Wales. The cards suggest a far more competitive match than many might expect. The Springboks appear likely to face periods of pressure and adversity, with at least one significant turning point during the game. Wales also shows strong potential and could challenge South Africa throughout the match. However, the overall energy still leans slightly towards a South African victory, although it may be a hard-earned result that keeps supporters on the edge of their seats until the final whistle.
