Today we will have a very rare Transit of Venus, as she lines up with the Sun, similar to an eclipse. It is an injection of energy that will illuminate and bring matters to a head, bringing about dramatic shifts, also opening up a portal for powerful change. It’s as if a spell has been cast, making us hungry for togetherness, in search for the perfect partner or longing to make things right with someone we already know.

Look back to June 2004. Any big themes from then could be coming up again. Areas that could be affected are Venus related, love, finances, pleasure, values, beauty, art and attraction. Initially this event may test some of us to a high degree. Past events may haunt some of us and much resentment may bubble to the surface. Conflicts could be expected where old structures and patterns are broken up to be rearranged. With Venus being retrograde, this brings the opportunity to re-look at all the Venus related issues in our lives and fix them to suite us better.

The Mayans were obsessed with Venus and maybe it’s not December 21, that we should be paying attention to, but rather this rare event. As Venus passes over the Sun, her heart is inflamed and she emerges as a worrier Goddess on the 13th June, which brings a shift from passive to active within the collective consciousness and within each of us. It represents an awakening of feminine energies in our world. For thousands of years, the world has been ruled by patriarchal societies. These have created wars, power struggles, destruction, pollution, fear, and pain. As the feminine energy interfaces with human consciousness, it awakens and expands compassion within our hearts, and emotional healing can occur for all of Humanity. This is a pivotal time for our destiny.
