Today Uranus goes retrograde. Uranus does have a tendency to pull the rug out from under your feet, and can force you to take action in situations you have been putting off.  Our patience can be low and our drive for independence…sky high. Everything that once offered you comfort now seems to fade away.  Uranus will remain retrograde until 13 December 2012.  We have possibly already started experiencing some dramatic shifts in our lives.  Whilst Uranus is retrograde we can expect to be put in touch with aspects of ourselves that we never knew existed, and we will generally be exposed to new and better situations, once we let go of the old. With Pluto in the mix (also still retrograde), our lives will be transformed. By letting go of our attachments (whether they be physical, emotional or mental), we can soar to new heights, and get a better perspective of our life, our situations, and what we need to seek, in order to be genuinely content and at peace. It will create much needed change – to awaken us and bring us back to life.

There’s only one aspect today and it’s a happy one. Time to clear your mind…stop and smell the roses. Feelings and emotions should be in harmony today. Relationships are improved.

On Sunday, Mercury goes retrograde. We are likely to improve upon what we have already started.  Mercury gets quite a bad reputation when he is retrograde. He becomes the trickster where communications are concerned, and has the ability to botch things up.  It’s a time of possible arguments and misinterpretation. This retrograde period will show you where you have control issues, especially when you can’t get your own way – spoilt brat syndrome. Things probably will go wrong…your computer may crash, you may miss an important phone call or appointment, or you may feel that everyone you talk to has turned up from another planet. This is a time of RE doing - and all can be rectified. Often it is our reaction to the situation that is worse than the situation itself.  Mercury will go direct on the 8th August, so its only three weeks of possible frustrations.  This period can show you where you may need to shift gears and look at life with renewed vision... so take the time to slow down and enjoy life’s pleasures. It can be a magical time as minds are open and can change easily.
