Some info on the upcoming Uranus square Pluto, exact on 24 June 2012 at 11.12am.

Let me introduce you to the cast members, the stars of our show, that are stirring up this planetary drama, making it without a doubt, one of the most influential transits in many years.  This aspect can bring good or bad, opportunity or danger… all depends on how you choose to confront any crisis that may occur.

Our first star is Uranus – Liberated, rebellious, can cause sudden and unexpected upheavals that can challenge us. Uranus can represent shock, sudden change and new discovery. It is the planet of radical revolution and reform. It can lead to the discovery and/or creation of brilliant and novel ways of addressing issues, offering new solutions to old problems. Uranus is topsy-turvy, upside-down, inside-out, backwards and volatile.

Uranus is in Aries the beginning of the zodiac, the spark that starts the fire. Aries is the warrior, he’s fearless. He can be aggressive and even violent. This energy will charge us with new ideas, enthusiasm and courage, breaking the rules for the advancement of all mankind.

The other Star of the show is Pluto - the Lord of the underworld. He transforms and takes no prisoners. He rules catastrophes, death, rebuilding, rebirth and transformation, destroying whatever gets in his way. Pluto can be ruthless.

Pluto is in Capricorn, the sign that rules banks, the economy and large corporations.

The aspect that these two planets make is 90 degrees apart, known as a square. It is a stressful aspect and represents obstacles and challenges.

Both of these planets are distinctly non-personal and emotionless, but their effect is dramatic and deeply felt. Together they can create the change that is needed through radical means, bringing about a rebirth of something better. Destruction and recreation of society and its structures will occur to some extent. Initially they can shock systems creating a crisis in order to create resolution. People will begin to search for freedom in all forms, to demonstrate their individuality. Many will not be able to suffer wrongs in silence anymore and the need to correct this will be strong. Powers-that-be will no longer be ignored and we will be pushed to find solutions to current dilemmas.

We are going "back to the future!"  The last time this rare planetary cycle occurred was 1931-1933, during the depression, then again in 1965-1972. Movements to create sustainability and harmony with our planet were driven underground, but they didn’t die and now they are the seeds for the new era.
