June 2016
On June 2nd, the Taurus Moon, Jupiter, and Pluto form a harmonious Grand Trine. Even though Jupiter is retrograde, this aspect, in earth signs still has many gifts to bestow on us all. Things start moving full speed ahead when Saturn makes its entrance on June 3rd in a disagreement with the Sun. Heed Saturn’s warning and play it by the rules. Sometimes you just can’t control everything around you.
The Gemini New Moon on the 5th is so well connected to Venus that even the square from Jupiter can't stop things from moving forward.
Love is in the air when Venus meets Sun on June 6th. Lots of fun can be had with these two in Gemini.
Clouds fill the horizon on June 9th, when Mercury moves into an opposition with Mars. Mercury in Taurus is opinionated and Mars in Scorpio is sarcastic. Get ready for some confrontation.
On June 12th, Mercury moves into Gemini, the sign where it has home- field advantage. Because Gemini loves to talk, this combination makes the next three weeks one of the easiest times of the year to get out there and negotiate whatever deals need negotiating.
Even though the Neptune retrograde period begins on June 13th, it's not something to get too concerned about. It doesn't change things that much. The Neptune retrograde period lasts until mid-November and can bring benefits to those who work in the healing professions as well as to artists who want to review their creations.
Your diary may suddenly start filling up around June 14th, when the Sun and Moon form a trine in the sociable atmosphere of Gemini and Libra.
On Friday June 17th, Venus moves into a motherly combo in Cancer. It's a good time to break out of your protective shell and find new ways to nurture yourself while continuing to care for others. Later that day the energy shifts with the first Saturn-Neptune square of the year. This difficult aspect signals a troubling time when reality meets illusion and produces disappointment. The last time this happened was in November 2015, and the next time will be in September. Both Saturn and Neptune are retrograde, and this double backward motion is an indication that any disappointments that come out of this square will be experienced internally rather than in the outer world.
The Sagittarius Full Moon coincides with the solstice on the June 20th when the Sun enters Cancer. This brings plans and projects to a happy conclusion. On June 26th, Jupiter tags Pluto with another trine. This aspect is an outstanding indication of renewed faith in the future and a healthier economy, they're doubly important because they occur near important seasonal turning points. Be sure to make the best of this trine because the next one doesn't come around until 2024.
June 29th, is a high spot because that's when Mars turns direct and marks the end of its ten-week retrograde cycle. Hallelujah!!
This positive change of direction is an unmistakable signal that even though Mars will remain in Scorpio's secret superpowers until August, it's clearly a time when our collective energy is back on track. Mercury leaves its Gemini homeland for the sensitive waters of Cancer. While Mercury is in Cancer, the style of communication becomes more emotionally biased with issues around women and children and possibly real estate. With the Sun, Mercury, and Mars all in sensitive water signs, our emotional IQ will be on the rise.
